Four Kinds of Sentences : Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative and Exclamatory

A declarative sentence tells something and ends with a period.

Mr. Brown ate a pizza.

An interrogative sentence asks something and ends with a question mark.

Did he eat all seven pizzas?

An imperative sentence gives an order and ends with a period.

Help me lift him off of the floor.

An exclamatory sentence expresses strong feeling and ends with an exclamation point.

Mr. Brown sure is heavy!
